A beautiful large vintage Royal Albert lidded ginger jar in the iconic Old Country Roses pattern.
Made in England from fine bone china, the jar features Royal Albert’s famous arrangement of richly coloured red, pink and yellow roses, together with embossed basket-weave and decorative relief detailing.
The removable lid has matching floral decoration, gold edging and an elegant shell-shaped finial. The jar is finished with further gold detailing around the base.
This example bears the ©1962 Royal Albert backstamp and comes with:

A lovely decorative storage jar and an attractive addition to an existing Old Country Roses collection.
Condition
Good vintage condition overall, but with damage that must be noted.
There is a small nibble/chip to the edge of the lid, clearly shown in the close-up photograph. There is also visible rubbing and age-related wear to the gold trim, particularly around the lid edge and base.
The main body appears free from obvious chips or cracks, and no repairs have been noticed.
The original box has noticeable storage wear, including creasing, marks and damage around the upper closing flap. The branded tissue paper is also creased from storage.
Please inspect all photographs carefully, as they form an important part of the condition description.
