Vintage Crown Devon Jug with Strainer, Classical Lyre Design, 1930s–40s Cream Pitcher, Made in England
A beautiful vintage Crown Devon (Fieldings) ceramic jug featuring an elegant classical-inspired design and original metal strainer insert.
This cream jug is decorated with delicate floral garlands and a central lyre motif, a design influenced by earlier Neoclassical and Victorian styles. The ribbed lower body and shaped spout add to its refined look, while the angular handle gives it a distinctive silhouette.
Although the design has an earlier feel, the base mark confirms this is a genuine early–mid 20th century piece, produced by Crown Devon during the 1930s–1940s.
The jug includes its original metal strainer, making it ideal for serving infused drinks, iced tea, or fruit water — as well as a striking decorative item.
