A charming vintage Royal Worcester “Three’s Company” collector plate, featuring detailed animal artwork by British artist Pam Cooper.
The warm farmyard scene centres on a gentle Rough Collie surrounded by two smaller companions: a tabby kitten perched upon a bale of hay and a white rabbit resting beside the dog. Earthenware pots, a wooden cartwheel and softly rendered straw create a nostalgic country setting.
Produced from Royal Worcester fine bone china in 1990, the plate was commissioned by Compton & Woodhouse to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the RSPCA. The reverse carries the title and the verse:
“Can I play too, I’d like it so
and three is company you know!”
A fine gold-coloured line finishes the rim and frames the softly coloured illustration. The plate would make an appealing display piece for collectors of Royal Worcester, Pam Cooper artwork, Rough Collies, cats, rabbits or traditional English animal china.
Factory-made hanging holes are present on the reverse for display with a suitable plate hanger. A display stand could also be used.

There are also light marks, residue and handwritten reference markings on the reverse. Reflections across the glossy glaze make extremely fine scratches difficult to assess fully. The hanging holes are part of the original manufacture. Please examine all photographs carefully, as they form an important part of the description and show the exact plate that will be received.
