A vintage Danish porcelain collector plate entitled Kom Med Os, meaning Come With Us, featuring enchanting wildlife artwork by Karen Jean Bornholt.
Issued in 1986 by Grande København – Porcelain of Denmark, this is the third issue in the Den Grimme Ælling (The Ugly Duckling) series inspired by Hans Christian Andersen‘s timeless fairy tale.
The beautifully detailed artwork captures the moment when two wild swans encourage the young swan to leave with them. Set within a tranquil reed-filled wetland, the scene shows graceful swans lifting from the water while another swan spreads its wings in the foreground. Delicate reeds, bare branches and soft pastel skies create a peaceful Scandinavian atmosphere.
The reverse identifies this example as individually numbered 7898A, confirms the 1986 issue date, the title, artist, Bradex number and that the edition was limited to a maximum of 50 firing days.

The plate appears to be in very good vintage display condition, retaining a glossy finish and beautifully preserved artwork. No chips, cracks or repairs are visible in the supplied photographs. There may be light surface or display marks consistent with careful storage, while reflections across the glaze make extremely fine scratches difficult to assess fully. The factory hanging holes are original to the plate. The original presentation box shows age-related storage wear including light edge wear, creasing and minor discolouration. The accompanying paperwork also displays light handling and storage wear.
