Jackfield is a name given to items made in a red earthenware body, with a black enamel glaze over. Jackfield wares were then frequently decorated further in colours and or gilt.
This teapot and stand are both decorated with a bold gold and wonderfully ornate floral pattern,
with boughs of blossom and grasses. The teapot includes areas of gilt, for the stems and trim overall.
