Vintage Wedgwood bone china collector plate titled “Skating on the Fen”, from Colin Newman’s Country Christmas series.
This beautiful decorative plate features a nostalgic snowy winter skating scene with a windmill, village figures and detailed winter wildlife including a kingfisher, heron, robin, owl and birds in flight. A lovely festive collectible piece for fans of Wedgwood, traditional Christmas decor, countryside scenes, wildlife artwork, decorative wall plates or English bone china.
The reverse is marked Wedgwood Bone China, Made in England, “Skating on the Fen” by Colin Newman. This is the first issue in Colin Newman’s Country Christmas series, crafted in Wedgwood fine bone china by Josiah Wedgwood & Sons Limited. Dated 1989. Official limited edition plate.
Comes with original Wedgwood box and paperwork/leaflet shown in the photos. Please note the outer box has age-related storage wear.
