A beautiful vintage Royal Albert tall bud vase in the celebrated Old Country Roses pattern.
This elegant vase has a rounded bulb-shaped body leading into a long, narrow neck, making it ideal for displaying a single rose, small flower arrangement or dried stems.
The vase is decorated with the classic Old Country Roses design of deep red, pink and yellow roses, together with green foliage. Further floral sprays decorate the long neck, while gold gilding finishes the top rim and base.
Made from English bone china, the underside carries the traditional Royal Albert Old Country Roses backstamp and confirms that the piece was made in England.
The 1962 date shown on the backstamp refers to the copyright date of the Old Country Roses pattern and should not automatically be taken as the exact manufacturing year of this individual vase.
The handwritten number “59” on the underside appears to be a factory, decorator or quality-control marking rather than an individual limited-edition number.
A lovely display piece for a mantelpiece, dressing table, sideboard or china cabinet. It would also make a thoughtful gift for a Royal Albert collector or admirer of traditional English floral china.

Condition
Good vintage condition overall.
No obvious chips, cracks or repairs can be seen in the photographs. The narrow neck, opening and foot appear intact.
There is noticeable rubbing and fading to the gold gilding around the top rim and some wear to the gilding around the base. There are also light surface marks, small specks and signs of previous display consistent with age.
The underside shows some general age-related marks and wear around the foot. The original Royal Albert backstamp remains present and readable, together with a handwritten factory or decorator’s number.
