A characterful vintage ceramic Chow Chow dog figurine, attributed to Coopercraft through comparison with matching examples of the same mould.
The dog is modelled standing in an alert show pose, with the broad head, small upright ears, dense lion-like neck ruff and tightly curled tail associated with the Chow Chow breed. Deeply moulded fur detail covers the body, chest and tail, while graduated shades of reddish brown, chestnut and dark brown give the coat depth and definition.
Its glossy black nose, dark painted eyes and carefully shaded facial features create an expressive and dignified appearance. The substantial size makes this an attractive display ornament for a cabinet, mantelpiece, shelf or country-style interior.
No original Coopercraft label or printed factory mark remains on the underside of this example. However, exact matching figures are consistently identified as Coopercraft Chow Chows and recorded at approximately 18–20 cm in size.

The figurine appears to remain in good vintage display condition, retaining a glossy finish, detailed moulded coat and clearly painted facial features. No chips, cracks or repairs are visible in the supplied photographs. There are light surface marks, small glaze and paint variations and minor signs of handling consistent with age. The unglazed foot rims show some contact and shelf wear, while the underside has minor production marks and light residue. Reflections across the glossy brown glaze make very fine scratches difficult to assess fully. Please examine all photographs carefully, as they form an important part of the description and show the exact figurine that will be received.
