A beautiful boxed set of six vintage Royal Albert teacups and matching saucers in the iconic Old Country Roses pattern.
The set comprises six standard Montrose-shape teacups and six matching tea saucers, making twelve pieces in total. They are supplied in two original Royal Albert boxes, with three cup-and-saucer sets in each box, together with the original Royal Albert printed tissue paper.
Each cup is decorated with Royal Albert’s famous arrangement of rich red, pink and yellow roses with green foliage. The matching saucers carry the same floral design around their scalloped edges.
The cups feature gently flared rims, shaped handles and raised circular feet. Gold-coloured gilding decorates the cup rims, handles, feet and saucer edges.
The backstamp reads:
“Old Country Roses
Royal Albert
Bone China
England
© Royal Albert Ltd 1962”
The 1962 date refers to the introduction and copyright of the Old Country Roses pattern rather than necessarily being the exact production year of each piece. This backstamp style is generally associated with later 20th-century English production.

Good vintage display condition overall, with noticeable age-related gilding wear.
No obvious chips, cracks or repairs can be seen in the supplied photographs. The cups, handles, feet and saucers appear intact, and no pronounced crazing is visible.
The floral decoration remains colourful and attractive.
There is visible rubbing, thinning, darkening and unevenness to the gold-coloured gilding, particularly around the cup rims and saucer edges. Some wear is also visible on the handles and cup feet.
There may be light surface scratches, small marks, specks and signs of previous use. Light shelf wear and discolouration are visible around some underside foot rims.
The original cardboard boxes and printed tissue paper show storage wear, creasing, scuffing and age-related marks.
