A beautiful vintage Aynsley perfume atomiser in the discontinued Wild Tudor pattern, made in England from fine bone china.
The recognised specialist description for this piece is an Atomizer, with the catalogue reference ATOM1. It was designed as a refillable dressing-table perfume or scent bottle, dispensing fragrance through its fabric-covered squeeze bulb and spray nozzle.
The atomiser has a rounded, softly fluted fine bone china bottle decorated with the colourful Wild Tudor floral design. The arrangement features pansies, rosebuds, thistles and smaller English garden flowers in shades of pink, red, lilac, blue, yellow and green.
A gold-tone metal atomiser assembly is fitted to the top of the bottle. This is connected to a flexible fabric-covered tube and a matching woven squeeze bulb finished with a long decorative tassel.
The underside carries the blue Aynsley crown backstamp reading “Est. 1775, Aynsley, Wild Tudor, Fine Bone China, Made in England.” The original oval blue and gold Aynsley foil label also remains attached to the shoulder of the bottle.
Wild Tudor was produced from approximately 1991 to 2001. This dates the atomiser to the 1990s or around the turn of the millennium, making it approximately 25–35 years old.
It would make an attractive dressing-table ornament, vanity display piece, decorative scent bottle or prop for a traditional bedroom or boudoir-style interior. It would also appeal to collectors of vintage perfume bottles, Aynsley china and discontinued Wild Tudor pieces.
The atomiser mechanism has not been tested and the piece is being sold primarily as a decorative vintage collectible.
