A substantial vintage Aynsley 9-inch Footed Bowl in the discontinued Wild Tudor pattern, made in England from fine bone china.
The original factory barcode label identifies the piece as a “Wild Tudor 9-inch Footed Bowl” and gives the Aynsley product code WTUG20794. Matching examples are also commonly described as the Derwent Footed Bowl.
The bowl has a broad, deeply flared body with an elegantly waved and pointed rim. It stands on a raised pedestal foot decorated with moulded scrollwork and relief detailing. Additional raised decoration appears beneath the upper rim, giving the piece a highly decorative finish.
The exterior features a large arrangement of colourful English garden and wild flowers. The design includes pansies, rosebuds, pinks, blue flowers and delicate green foliage in shades of pink, red, lilac, yellow, blue and green.
Smaller coordinating floral sprays are arranged around the inside of the bowl, with a separate rose motif placed in the centre.
Fine gold-coloured edging follows the elaborate wavy rim and the lower edge of the pedestal foot.
The underside carries an Aynsley crown backstamp and retains its original factory barcode sticker reading “Wild Tudor 9-inch Footed Bowl,” with product code WTUG20794.
The Wild Tudor pattern was produced from approximately 1991 to 2001. This dates the bowl to the 1990s or around the turn of the millennium, making it approximately 25–35 years old.
This impressive bowl could be used as a decorative fruit bowl, floral centrepiece, wrapped sweet bowl or large serving bowl. It would also look beautiful displayed empty on a dining table, sideboard, dresser or console table.
Its substantial size, elaborate pedestal form and surviving factory label give it particular appeal for collectors of Aynsley Wild Tudor and vintage English bone china.
