A beautiful vintage Aynsley Crocus Shape Cake Plate in the discontinued Wild Tudor pattern, made in England from fine bone china.
The specialist-catalogued description for this particular form is a Crocus Shape Cake Plate. It has a large round profile with no raised tableware rim, a gently wavy scalloped edge and subtle embossed lines radiating across the surface.
The plate is decorated with an abundant central arrangement of colourful English garden and wild flowers. Coordinating floral garlands are positioned around the outer section, creating an attractive design that can be appreciated whether the plate is used for serving or displayed decoratively.
The Wild Tudor design includes pansies, rosebuds, pinks, thistle-like flowers, blue blossoms and delicate green foliage in shades of pink, red, lilac, blue, yellow and green.
A fine gold-coloured line follows the scalloped outer edge.
The underside carries the blue Aynsley crown backstamp reading “Est. 1775, Aynsley, Wild Tudor, Fine Bone China, Made in England.”
The Wild Tudor pattern was produced from approximately 1991 to 2001. This example therefore dates from the 1990s or around the turn of the millennium and is approximately 25–35 years old.
The plate would be ideal for serving cakes, pastries, sandwiches, biscuits or desserts during afternoon tea. It could also be used as a decorative table centrepiece or displayed upright on a plate stand.

The floral decoration remains colourful and clear. The gold-coloured edging appears generally bright, with slight age-related rubbing or unevenness visible in places.
Light surface and serving marks are visible across the glazed surface. Minor shelf wear and light discolouration can also be seen around the underside foot ring.
