A substantial vintage Aynsley biscuit barrel with its original matching lid, decorated in the discontinued Wild Tudor pattern.
The exact specialist-catalogued description for this form is the Wild Tudor Biscuit Barrel & Lid. It is a tall decorative kitchen storage jar with a softly squared body, rounded corners, circular neck and removable cylindrical lid.
The body has attractive moulded and embossed decoration, including raised scrolling details around the shoulders and a shell-like relief design around the lower section. A colourful Wild Tudor floral arrangement decorates the front, featuring pansies, rosebuds, thistle-like blooms, small blue flowers and delicate green foliage.
A gold-coloured band decorates the lower edge of the lid, providing an elegant contrast against the white fine bone china.
The underside carries the blue Aynsley crown backstamp reading “Est. 1775, Aynsley, Wild Tudor, Fine Bone China, Made in England.”
The Wild Tudor pattern was produced from approximately 1991 to 2001. This dates the biscuit barrel to the 1990s or around the turn of the millennium, making it approximately 25–35 years old.
Originally designed for storing biscuits or cookies, it could also be used decoratively for wrapped sweets, tea bags, coffee pods or other dry packaged items. It would look especially attractive on a kitchen dresser, pantry shelf, sideboard or alongside other pieces of Aynsley Wild Tudor china.

Good vintage display condition overall.
No obvious chips, cracks or repairs can be seen in the supplied photographs. No pronounced crazing or heavy staining is visible.
The floral decoration remains colourful and clear. The embossed moulding also remains well defined.
There is visible age-related rubbing, dulling and unevenness to the gold-coloured band around the lid. Light surface marks, small specks and signs of previous handling may also be present on the body and lid.
Grey shelf marks, rubbing and underside discolouration are visible around the recessed base rim. These marks are mainly confined to the underside and will not be prominent when displayed.
The original lid is present and appears to sit correctly on the barrel. The interior appears generally clean from the photographs, with possible minor age-related marks.
