Beautiful vintage Aynsley Pembroke 9-inch bud vase, made in England from fine English bone china.
This elegant vase has a tall, slender neck, gently flared opening, rounded teardrop-shaped body and subtle vertical fluting around the lower section. Fine gold edging decorates both the top rim and the circular foot.
The classic Pembroke pattern features a colourful blue and pink bird perched among winding branches, red and blue flowers, green foliage and delicate berries. Smaller floral sprays continue around the reverse and upper neck.
Specialist replacement-china catalogues identify this exact form as the Pembroke Gold Trim 9-inch Bud Vase, with piece code VBUD9. Replacements records the height as approximately 9¼ inches, while another specialist seller records the same form as approximately 9 inches tall.
