Beautiful vintage Aynsley Cottage Garden squirrel animal figurine, made in England from fine bone china.
Specialist replacement-china seller Chinasearch catalogues this exact Cottage Garden piece as an “Animal Figurine – Squirrel” measuring 3¾ inches tall. This matches the shape and proportions of the figurine shown in the photographs.
The ornament depicts a standing squirrel holding its front paws together, with a large curled tail and softly moulded facial features. It is decorated with colourful Cottage Garden flowers and butterflies against a glossy white background, with gold detailing to the eyes, nose and mouth.
The original blue and gold Aynsley foil label remains attached to the side.
The underside carries the genuine Aynsley factory backstamp:
