Beautiful vintage Aynsley Cottage Garden standing penguin figurine, made in England from fine bone china.
This charming ornament depicts an upright penguin with moulded wings, webbed feet and a gently turned head. It is decorated with colourful Cottage Garden flowers, green foliage and a blue butterfly against glossy white china, with delicate gold detailing to the eye and beak.
Specialist Aynsley sellers identify this exact form as “Penguin – Standing” and record it at approximately 4 inches high by 2½ inches wide by 2½ inches deep. These measurements also appear consistent with the proportions against the hand shown in the photographs.
The original blue and gold Aynsley foil label remains attached to the front.
The underside carries the genuine factory backstamp:

The circular opening underneath is part of the figurine’s original hollow construction and is not damage.
