Beautiful vintage Aynsley Cottage Garden miniature posy vase, made in England from fine bone china.
This small decorative vase has a rounded baluster-style body, gently narrowed lower section, short neck and a softly flared, shaped rim. Its miniature size makes it ideal for displaying a tiny posy, a few individual flower stems or dried flowers.
The vase is decorated with the classic Cottage Garden design, featuring colourful flowers, green foliage and butterflies against a glossy white background.
The underside carries the genuine factory backstamp:

The original blue and gold Aynsley foil label also remains attached to the underside.
Specialist replacement catalogues record several closely related miniature Cottage Garden vase shapes. Replacements lists a small Cottage Garden vase at approximately 3⅝ inches high; based on the proportions against the hand shown, this example appears to be approximately 3½ inches tall. It is therefore safest and clearest to list it as a miniature posy vase or small bud vase, rather than assigning an unverified named mould.
The Cottage Garden pattern was produced from approximately 1970 to 2001, although this individual piece is not marked with an exact year of manufacture.
