Beautiful vintage Aynsley Cottage Garden decorative flat iron ornament, made in England from fine bone china.
The original product sticker on the underside identifies this exact piece as the Cottage Garden Flat Iron. It is a novelty giftware ornament designed in the form of a traditional Victorian-style flat iron, with a raised handle and pointed triangular base.
The ornament is decorated with the classic Cottage Garden pattern, featuring colourful roses, bluebells and other cottage flowers, green foliage and butterflies against a glossy white background. The floral decoration continues across the upper surface and along the handle.
The original oval Aynsley foil label remains attached to the top of the iron, together with the original Cottage Garden Flat Iron product sticker on the underside.
A matching catalogued example of this exact design measures approximately 5¼ inches across the widest part of the base and 4¼ inches tall.
