Beautiful vintage Aynsley Celeste lidded jar, made in England from fine English bone china.
This substantial decorative jar has a traditional rounded form with gently sloping shoulders, a raised neck and a matching removable domed lid. The lid is finished with a distinctive pointed, twisted finial.
The Celeste design features a large embossed blue flower surrounded by pastel pink and yellow flower buds, soft green foliage and delicate butterflies. The raised decoration gives the floral design an attractive three-dimensional appearance against the glossy white china.
The underside carries the genuine Aynsley factory backstamp:

Condition
Good vintage pre-owned condition overall.
No obvious chips, cracks or major damage can be seen in the photographs. The removable lid appears to sit correctly on the jar.
There are some light age-related marks and discolouration around the underside foot rim, along with minor signs of previous display and handling.
