A beautiful matching pair of vintage Royal Albert salt and pepper shakers in the iconic Old Country Roses pattern.
Made from fine English bone china, each shaker features the famous arrangement of richly coloured red, pink and yellow roses with delicate green foliage. The pieces have an elegant bulb-shaped design with gold detailing around the upper sections and bases.
The pair consists of:
One salt shaker
One pepper shaker
Different dispensing-hole arrangements to distinguish the two
Royal Albert backstamp to the underside
Made in England
Supplied together as a matching pair
These would make a lovely addition to an existing Old Country Roses dinner service or an attractive decorative cruet set for a vintage, cottagecore or traditional dining table.
Condition
Good vintage condition overall, with visible signs of age and previous use.
There is noticeable rubbing, darkening and loss to the gold detailing, particularly around the bases and upper edges. There are also some light surface marks and general age-related wear.
No obvious cracks, significant chips or repairs can be seen in the photographs.
The underside shown retains its red stopper. Please examine all photographs carefully, as they form an important part of the condition description.
