A lovely boxed set of six Royal Albert Old Country Roses tea or side plates, supplied in a Royal Albert branded box.
These are the approximately 6¼-inch plates traditionally included as the third piece in a teacup trio. They are larger than teacup saucers and were intended for serving cake, sandwiches, bread and butter or other afternoon-tea treats.
Each fine bone china plate features the iconic Old Country Roses design, with richly coloured red, pink and yellow roses, green foliage, a gently fluted shape and ornate gold-coloured edging.
The Royal Albert box is marked “English Fine Bone China.” The individual backstamps are not shown in the supplied photographs, so the precise production date cannot be confirmed. The Old Country Roses pattern was originally introduced in 1962.
A beautiful set for afternoon tea, replacement tableware, vintage weddings, special occasions or display in a china cabinet.

The floral decoration remains colourful and clear. The gold-coloured rims show visible age-related rubbing, darkening, surface marks and unevenness in places. Light scratches, small specks and signs of previous use may be present on the plate surfaces.
The Royal Albert cardboard box has visible storage wear, marks, scuffs, creasing and age-related discolouration. The internal tissue paper is also creased and worn.
