A beautiful boxed set of six Royal Albert footed teacups and matching saucers in the A Celebration of the Old Country Roses Garden design.
The complete set contains six cups and six saucers, making twelve pieces in total. They are supplied in two original Royal Albert boxes, with three cup-and-saucer sets in each box and the original Royal Albert printed tissue paper.
Each cup features a romantic English cottage-garden scene surrounded by richly coloured red, pink and yellow roses. The matching saucers continue the design with a thatched cottage, a figure standing beneath a rose-covered garden arch and abundant floral decoration.
The cups have elegant pedestal feet, shaped handles, gently flared rims and scalloped detailing. Gold-coloured gilding decorates the cup rims, handles, feet and the shaped edges of the saucers.
The underside carries the Royal Albert crown backstamp reading “Royal Albert, Bone China, England” with a 1986 copyright date.
A particularly attractive vintage tea set for afternoon tea, display in a china cabinet, a vintage wedding table or a collector of Royal Albert and Old Country Roses designs.

Good vintage display condition overall, with noticeable wear to the gilding.
No obvious chips, cracks, repairs or pronounced crazing can be seen in the supplied photographs. The cups, handles, pedestal feet and saucers all appear intact.
The colourful cottage and rose decoration remains clear and attractive.
There is visible rubbing, thinning, darkening and unevenness to the gold-coloured gilding, particularly around the cup rims and saucer edges. Additional gilding wear is visible on some handles and pedestal feet.
Light surface scratches, small marks and signs of previous use may be present. There is also some light shelf wear and discolouration around the underside foot rims.
The two original cardboard boxes show storage wear, marks, scuffing, creasing and age-related discolouration. The original printed tissue paper is creased and worn but remains included.
