Beautiful vintage Aynsley Cottage Garden decorative watering can, made in England from fine bone china.
The original product sticker on the underside identifies this exact piece as the Cottage Garden Watering Can. It has a cylindrical body, long angled spout with a flared rose, curved side handle and a raised carrying handle across the top.
The front is decorated with the classic Cottage Garden pattern, featuring colourful roses, bluebells and other cottage flowers, green foliage, butterflies and delicate gilt highlights against a glossy white background.
The original oval Aynsley foil label remains attached to the front, along with the original product identification sticker on the underside.
This is primarily a decorative giftware piece, but the open top also allows it to be displayed as a small posy vase. Specialist replacement-china sellers catalogue the piece as an Aynsley Cottage Garden Watering Can, at approximately 4¼ inches tall. Comparable examples are also recorded at around 10–10.3 cm high.
