Beautiful vintage Aynsley Cottage Garden fine bone china vase, made in England.
This smaller decorative vase has an elegant footed form with raised vertical moulding, embossed floral and scroll detailing, and a distinctive deeply scalloped rim.
It is decorated with the classic Cottage Garden design, featuring colourful roses, bluebells and other cottage flowers, green foliage, and blue and red butterflies against a glossy white background.
After comparing the vase carefully against the hand shown in the photographs and reviewing comparable Aynsley examples, this piece appears to be approximately 6⅛ inches tall, rather than the larger 8-inch version. A closely matching Cottage Garden piece is described in current marketplace records as an embossed 15.5 cm vase, which converts to just over 6 inches.
The underside carries the genuine factory backstamp:
